Mass Baby Shower Held for 2,000 Pregnant Women in Jubilee Hills
A mass Seemantham and Annaprasana ceremony was held grandly at Mohammed Function Hall in Yousufguda, Jubilee Hills, during Nutrition Week.
A mass Seemantham (baby shower) and Annaprasana ceremony was held at Mohammed Function Hall in Yousufguda, within Jubilee Hills constituency, during Nutrition Week. Nava Yuva Nirman Foundation and the Congress Party jointly organised the event, led by Jubilee Hills MLA V. Naveen Yadav.
About 2,000 pregnant women and a large number of children attended. MLA Naveen Yadav performed the Seemantham, presenting the women with sarees, turmeric and kumkum as gifts from their natal family. Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and MLA Naveen Yadav together performed the Annaprasana ceremony for the children and blessed them.
TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Seethakka, Azharuddin, Planning Commission Vice Chairman Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, MP Anil Kumar Yadav, former MP Madhu Yaskhi Goud, MLC Addanki Dayakar and several other Congress leaders attended the event. Women who took part said the MLA has been standing by them like a brother.
